Meet Teens for Tomorrow (TFT)
Our members are diverse and come from many different backgrounds. We all joined TFT for different reasons: some of us have had family members with substance use, some of us struggled ourselves with substance use and don't want our peers to have to learn the hard way, some of us have seen the issue of substance use in our communities' youth, some of us are worried about what we are seeing with vaping trends, some of us are worried about what we see on social media and are passionate about working towards prevention.
We work together to discuss and create projects that seek to reduce substance use in Clark County. We have TFT Peer Educators from every school district in Clark County. If you would like to find out who serves on TFT in your school district, you can reach out to our coordinator Alaina Green at Alaina.Green@clark.wa.gov

Aananth Hi, my name is Aananth and this is my second year at Teens for Tomorrow. I am a part of Teens for Tomorrow because I support their mission and like the TFT community. My coping mechanism would be practicing soccer. It might just be because I am a soccer player but there is just something soothing about when you are by yourself, playing soccer with some music in your ear. Besides loving soccer, going outside, working out, and watching Netflix on Fridays. Maddie S. Hey, This is my second year at Teens For Tomorrow. Some things I like to do on my free time is spend time with my friends, painting and drawing, listening to music, and play with my 2 year old black Pomeranian puppy and my 1 year old German Shepherd. I am apart of Teens for tomorrow this year because I want to make a difference in peoples lives from now on, including teens not using drugs. Samantha Hola! My name is Samantha and I love to learn new skills everyday. I love cooking traditional Mexican dishes and experimenting on others. I love to decorate cookies and cakes much like painting portraits. I joined Teens for Tomorrow it spoke to me and I only hope to make a positive change within our community. |
Graham Hi my name is Graham and this is my second year at Teens for Tomorrow. I love spending time playing music and online on my computer. I am very excited to learn about all the skills I can use in and outside of Teens for tomorrow this year. I love every part of helping my community after all that has been given to me. Leo Hi! I'm Leo, and I have a lot of hobbies. A few include painting, writing, reading, and drawing. I love helping prevent substance abuse because I'm passionate about making the community safer. I want to help prevent that. The way substance abuse affects people is one of the many reasons why I stay away from it. Valerie I’m Valerie and I’m very glad to be able to say I’m a part of Teens for Tomorrow. Something that I enjoy doing is skating and painting. I actually consider those my go-to coping skills. I really really like helping others out. In many different ways too, that's also my coping mechanism. It helps me feel good knowing that I’ve been able to help someone. |

Lizbet Hi there! I'm Lizbet. Teens for Tomorrow is an impactful community to be a part of because it provides a space for youth to leverage their unique perspectives and experiences in order to promote awareness and engagement. This leads to more equitable and effective policies and initiatives that benefit our youth and our communities. With Teens for Tomorrow, I am able to channel my passion for learning, education, and creating a equitable future into tangible action. As Franklin D. Roosevelt once said: “We cannot always build a future for our youth, but we can always build our youth for the future.” Penelope I'm Penelope!
