Meet Teens for Tomorrow (TFT)
Our members are diverse and come from many different backgrounds. We all joined TFT for different reasons: some of us have had family members with substance use, some of us struggled ourselves with substance use and don't want our peers to have to learn the hard way, some of us have seen the issue of substance use in our communities' youth, some of us are worried about what we are seeing with vaping trends, some of us are worried about what we see on social media and are passionate about working towards prevention.
We work together to discuss and create projects that seek to reduce substance use in Clark County. We have TFT Peer Educators from every school district in Clark County. If you would like to find out who serves on TFT in your school district, you can reach out to our coordinator Alaina Green at [email protected]

~ Hi! I’m a Teens for Tomorrow peer educator. In my free time, I like to dance, listen to music, hang out with my friends and play my viola. I joined TFT to learn more about substance use and prevention. Since I’ve joined, I’ve learned healthy ways to deal with stress and cope with grief. My favorite thing about TFT is the people and the safe space it provides. I love being a part of this youth group and I will stay in it as long as I can. ~ Hi! I joined TFT because I see how uncontrolled substance use affects people. I am passionate about social justice. I love being involved in school, traveling, using my voice to stand up for myself and others, dancing, shopping, singing, and having fun. I am Christian, so I find a lot of meaning and purpose in making a positive impact and helping people. ~ Hello. I have been a part of TFT all through high school. Through TFT I have grown and changed with the program. It has taught me public speaking skills and has had me experience things that I originally thought were impossible. The art show for example was one of my favorite events of the year. I love seeing others' creations and putting my own on display. I joined TFT to spread awareness and help my friends and peers in need. I love being a part of something bigger than myself and I'm so thankful to have been a part of the program. |
~ Hello! This is my 2nd year at TFT! I’m learning 3 music instruments. I am a black belt in Taekwondo and I love video games, music, history, geography, science and more! I want to help teens with addiction problems and to make someone’s life better! I am proud to be a part of TFT and to have a way to help my peers! ~ Hi! I usually like spending my free time reading, listening to music or making bracelets. I have one cat right now named Lola who I love and we might get a dog in a few months. I like Teens For Tomorrow because it's a group of teens who are passionate and want to make a difference. We are diverse and accept people no matter what. TFT is so much fun and it feels refreshing and empowering to know your voice is being heard. Hope you all have an amazing day! ~ Hi! I really love to create all kinds of stuff! I like writing stories and I’m into computer science and game development. I joined TFT because even though I’m only in middle school, I see kids, some even younger than me, making choices that have serious consequences. I wanted to be part of something that helps others and tough things they may be going through. I want to make a difference and help people make better choices and know they aren’t alone. Linnea Program Assistant ~ My name is Linnea, and my role is to help Teens for Tomorrow with anything they need in their work to help the community. TFT members do some awesome stuff, so I feel lucky to have a front row seat! When I'm not helping out here, I like to spend time outside gardening, hiking, and hanging out with my dog and my ducks. |
~ Hi, this is my second year of being a part of TFT. I love to be active and play sports like lacrosse. I decided to join TFT because I have seen first hand the toll substance use has taken on the community. I want to change the stigma around it and help people realize that this is everyone’s first time living. |
~ Hello! I joined TFT because being active in my community and supporting others my age is very important to me. I love to read about fantasy and history. I am an artist, and I am learning to oil paint. When I am stressed I doodle, because it helps give me something to focus on and it is very meditative. ~ Hi. I joined TFT because I heard really good things about the organization from my sister, and I wanted to be a part of something that can have the chance to help someone who is struggling. When I am stressed I pray, and give all my problems to God. I also journal and read my bible. Doing these things always makes me feel better. ~ Hi, this is my first year in Teens for Tomorrow but not my first year doing prevention work. I've been doing that for about 4 years. I first started because I wanted to have a positive impact on my family, peers and friends and through doing it I've discovered I have a real passion for it. When I'm not doing prevention work, I enjoy reading, running and business. |
~ Hi! I love choir, listening to music, and I especially like to travel! I joined TFT because I have personally been affected by substance use. TFT has really improved my speaking skills and social life. I love helping people and having trust in a conversation and relationship is the most important thing!!! You can always count on me to be there to talk to and be by your side. ~ Hi! I have been in TFT for almost 3 years. I love going to church, play the violin, and play volleyball. I got into TFT because my older sister was doing it and I found it interesting. What I’ve learned from being in TFT is the reality of how many teenagers struggle with substance use. My favorite thing about TFT is how we’re like a community together advocating. Sometimes things can be stressful, a healthy coping skill I use is to breathe in and getting all of my stress out. ~ Hi. I’m passionate about helping teens in Clark County build confidence, find healthy ways to cope, and know they’re not alone. TFT means a lot to me because it’s youth-led—we get to use our voices to make real change. My goal is to keep learning, keep connecting, and help inspire others to do the same. Outside of TFT, I love playing volleyball, listening to music, and hanging out with my friends. ~ Hi! It is my fourth year at Teens for Tomorrow and I joined Teens for Tomorrow because I like helping people and doing good work in my community, and telling people what I do with Teens for Tomorrow. And then in my free time I like to hang out with friends, family, and my pets, listening to music and coloring. |
