Meet Teens for Tomorrow

Meet Teens for Tomorrow (TFT)

Our members are diverse and come from many different backgrounds. We all joined TFT for different reasons: some of us have had family members with substance use, some of us struggled ourselves with substance use and don't want our peers to have to learn the hard way, some of us have seen the issue of substance use in our communities' youth, some of us are worried about what we are seeing with vaping trends, some of us are worried about what we see on social media and are passionate about working towards prevention.

We work together to discuss and create projects that seek to reduce substance use in Clark County. We have TFT Peer Educators from every school district in Clark County. If you would like to find out who serves on TFT in your school district, you can reach out to our coordinator Alaina Green at [email protected]

Hi! My name is Aanya and I’m a Teens for Tomorrow peer educator. In my free time, I like to dance, listen to music, hang out with my friends and play my viola. I joined TFT to learn more about substance use and prevention. Since I’ve joined, I’ve learned healthy ways to deal with stress and cope with grief. My favorite thing about TFT is the people and the safe space it provides. I love being a part of this youth group and I will stay in it as long as I can.

I also love being with my friends. Whenever I am stressed I: eat, listen to music, run, play soccer, take a deep breath or reconnect w/ nature. I recently joined TFT & it has taught me I am not alone. I strive to be a light to the other people around me & always provide support.
